North Norfolk Exhibition Project: A Potted History

Since its very first exhibition in 2001, the voluntary North Norfolk Exhibition Project (NNEP) has annually staged a curated month-long contemporary art exhibition in the beautiful setting of Salthouse Church. Each year, those selected Norfolk-linked artists have produced thought-provoking, exciting work; often inspired by and reflecting the local built and natural environment. In the absence of a dedicated non-commercial gallery in North Norfolk, the Project plays an invaluable role in promoting contemporary visual art and has successfully created an annual exhibition now recognised as one of the County's premier arts events.

2008 marks the launch of a new venture for the NNEP, the Salthouse Sculpture Trail. Embracing the aim of creating a landmark trail where people can enjoy both the stunning landscape of North Norfolk together with exciting sculpture created by local artists, it seems a new premier arts destination is about to be added to the diaries of locals and visitors alike.

For more information about the NNEP, future exhibitions and forthcoming developments for the Trail, and to send a one-off fee of £5 to register as a supporter, contact: Organising Secretary, North Norfolk Exhibition Project, c/o 6 Grove Road, Melton Constable, Norfolk NR24 2DE.
